During the days of December 1st and 2nd at the Aveiro Congress Center, 10 great personalities from the world of photography and video, Benjamin Von Wong, Céline Cousteau, Eduardo Leal, Jennifer Adler, Jody MacDonald, Keith Ladzinski, Matthieu Paley , Rob Whitworth, Timothy Allen and William Albert Allard, shared stories of their genmedica professional and personal trajectories on the most diverse themes, environmental conservation, humanitarian causes, adventure and human overcoming and even travel. But they were not the only ones. We counted on the presence of Mike Libecki and his daughter Lilliana to share their experiences in alternative education. But we also had the privilege of paying homage to director/filmmaker Yann Arthus-Bertrand.
In addition to these inspirational Speaking Sessions, there were also Masterclasses where some of the speakers were able to share their expertise with a more exclusive audience where the technical component of photography and video were the central focus.
In order to complement our rich and diverse program, in a space called NomadLounge, activities were held during the mornings and evenings of the 1st and 2nd, as the most recent bet of this festival, the panel Exodus Talents by Lexus, where Daniel Pinheiro, João Almeida and Guilherme Melo Ribeiro. They shared their work and show what is best done in Portugal. Prio Energy gave a small talk on the recycling of edible oils and there was still room to debate the future of photography and documentary video in a debate guided by the IPCI. The nights were enriched with the NomadTalks, that were lectures by travellers in which Filipe Morato Gomes, Carla Mota, António Luís Campos and Guigá Pirá shared stories and adventures of their travelling experience. And, also, with the concert of a band from Aveiro, the Senza.
