Daniel Rodrigues, Portuguese, born in Compiègne (France) in 1987, lives in Portugal, near Porto, since he was ten years old.
He became a professional photographer after taking the Professional Photography Course at Instituto Português de Fotografia (2010). His career began at the newspaper Correio da Manhã, and he also worked at the agency Global Imagens, the organ responsible for distributing photographs in newspapers such as Jornal de Notícias, Diário de Notícias and O Jogo.
Daniel Rodrigues is an award-winning photographer, having won the first place in the Daily Life category at World Press Photo in 2013 and was third best photographer of the year in POYi (Picture of Year International) in 2015; third place in POY LATAM in 2017 and third place as Photographer of the Year at NPPA, among many other awards.
Daniel Rodrigues works as a freelancer worldwide and has been a contributor to The New York Times since March 2015.
