In the second edition, in 2018, we had the presence of one of the best-known personalities of this area, the filmmaker Yann Arthus-Bertrand, who brings to light, incredible human stories, the extraordinary beauty of the world, but also calls for the conversion and preservation of the Planet.
Yann Arthus-Bertrand has always had a passion for the animal world and the natural environment. In 1967, he settled in the centre of France. He became director of a nature reserve, but nine years later he embarks with his wife to Kenya, where he developed his aeronautical knowledge and discovered a new passion, to show the world seen from above.
In 1991, he founded “Altitude”, the first aerial photography agency, gathering photographs from all over the world. He then dedicated himself to long-term projects, books and exhibitions, which explored the links between man and nature: “The Earth from Above”, “Animals”, “Horses”, “365 Days to Think about our Planet” among others.
It is in 2003 that one of the biggest photographic and human projects ever made begins, “Six Billion Others” for which a team of directors looks for men and women all over the world and recorded on video the testimonies they received on various subjects (such as life, death, love, hate, etc.). This project then reaches us as “HUMAN” where we can see the most diverse life experiences in the most varied forms.
Yann Arthus-Bertrand is a director and photographer, Canon Ambassador, who brings to light human stories, the extraordinary beauty of the world, but who also calls for the conversion and preservation of the Planet.
“HUMAN”, “HOME” and the latest documentary, “WOMAN” are some of the most internationally recognised and impacting titles.
